Aztechnology

The friendliest brand you will ever run against. Nobody knows who owns it.

The corner store, the cheap trideo, the vitamins, the frozen dinner, the magical supplies behind the counter. All of it, in both cities, at a price nobody else can match. Aztechnology sells more consumer goods than any company on earth and more magical goods than anyone has ever sold, out of Mexico, which it also runs.

It's privately held and it does not publish its board. Every other megacorp has names you can look up. This one has a logo and a legal department.

Canon reference: Aztechnology on the Sixth World Wiki, for anybody who wants the published version. Where it and this page disagree, this page is what happened here.

What the crew knows

Subsidiaries anybody can look up

They're all on a filing somewhere, which is the only reason this list exists. The company is privately held and does not publish its board, so what follows is what can be traced — not what there is.

Brand What it is, and where you touch it
Stuffer Shack Supermarkets and corner shops. Open all hours, on every other block, and the reason that logo is in the background of half the stories in this city
Natural Vat Food Technologies Soy and mycoprotein, under Productos Cultivatos. This is most of what you ate this week and most of what you will eat next week
Genetique Biotech and nanotech research
Trés Chic Cosmetics and clothing, two companies, one name
Optical Dreams Optics. Some of it is in people's heads
Free Transit Cartage Freight, which puts them in the harbour and on the Alameda Corridor every day
Marine Technologies / Maritech Aquafarming and undersea mining. On this coast, read that twice
Televisa, Xpress Communications Media and comms
Pemex Petroleum and resource extraction
BANCOMEXT Banking, insurance, financial services

Three of those have entries of their own and are linked. The rest appear only as names on the parent company's filed hierarchy — Aztechnology § Other Subsidiaries — which is all anybody has ever been able to find out about them, and is itself worth noticing.

Which is why the list is nearly useless. Ten brands. Everything else reaches them through three or four layers of holding company, each one legitimate, filed and boring. You don't find Aztechnology at the end of a chain. You find another chain.

Standing with the crew

Unknown, which is the point. Assume they haven't noticed you yet.
