Denise Okoye
The vault window on a studio lot. Wants the log to balance, checks the label rather than the contents.
Behind glass at the vault check-in window: a log, a stamp, a queue, and a procedure she has run in the same order for four years. Okoye has no reason to suspect anybody of anything and no interest in detective work.
What she has is the intake, and the intake is why a swap on that lot is a job with a deadline rather than a job with a risk.
She is the deadline for two reasons and neither is the paperwork: she checks the label, the accession line and the slot rather than the contents, and on Friday she reads the week off into the archive.
What the crew knows#
- She checks the label, the accession line and the slot. She does not play what she is handed.
- She is friendly, unhurried and completely uninterested in what anybody is carrying.
- She runs the end-of-week transfer, reading the week's cartridges off into the studio's archive. See Simsense.
- She has never once been asked her name by anybody from a production.
