Saeder-Krupp
The biggest company in the world, owned outright by a dragon.
German, and largest by almost any measure anybody publishes: heavy industry, oil, chemicals, aerospace, telecommunications. The kind of corporation whose products are inside other companies' products.
It is owned by Lofwyr, who is a great dragon, and not in the sense of a figurehead or a majority shareholder. He bought it and he runs it. He reads the reports.
Canon reference: Saeder-Krupp on the Sixth World Wiki, for anybody who wants the published version. Where it and this page disagree, this page is what happened here.
What the crew knows
- One owner, no board to play against, no factions to exploit. This is the only megacorp on the list with a single mind at the top of it.
- They are less present on this coast than the Japanese corps. Refineries, chemical plants, port contracts, industrial supply — infrastructure rather than storefronts. Around Los Angeles that means the South Bay and the harbour.
- Their people are unnervingly professional and their contracts are unnervingly precise. Runners who work for S-K tend to say the terms were exactly what they were told, which nobody says about anyone else.
- A dragon's attention is not a metaphor for danger. It's the danger.
Standing with the crew
None, and that is the best thing anybody can say about a relationship with them. Keep it.
