Lux Vale
Elf. Physical adept who dresses for the after-party, with a pistol and a father who runs a spy shop.
Elf. Physical adept. Built off the Mictlan example build, redlined off whips and onto heavy pistols. No handle, deliberately: almost everybody in this business works under a name that costs them nothing if it burns, and he works under the one on his father's mail.
Plays like the licensed-to-kill version of the job: the good suit, the wit before the tactics, the wager he cannot turn down, and a pistol he would rather not interrupt a drink to use. He gets away with it because he is genuinely that good, and because of the phone number nobody else on the crew has.
His Network (government) contact is the Director, inside the UCAS's intelligence service, and he is Lux's father. It is why his reach runs into government rather than corporate rooms, and Lux is the only way anybody reaches him. The crew know the surname because Lux uses it, and nobody has a given name for the man.

What the crew knows#
- He is expensive to keep and worth it, most nights.
- Ask him to crawl through anything and watch his face.
- The one contact he can reach that the rest of the crew cannot is a UCAS government line, and he is cagey about exactly whose.
- He goes and gets his own meetings. He talked his way onto a Shiawase general manager's calendar with nothing but his own name, and what came out of it was a price on a commlink with a charge hidden in it: 10,000¥ a device, forty per cent up front, at a loss. See Zepeda.
- He has offered that to his father, which is either the best thing he has ever brokered or the worst, and nobody has heard back.
