He is the first employer in the campaign who does not care about deniability, which the crew should find flattering for about a day.

What the crew knows#

• He gives them his actual name, his actual title, and a card with a working number on it.
• Ares pays above market and on schedule, and expects the paperwork to be filed.
• He talks about Los Angeles as a market with a gap in it, cheerfully, in front of people who live here.
• Refusing him has no visible consequence at all, which is its own kind of information.
